Earlier this week a motorist shot and killed a man beating a wounded Arizona trooper. The man who came upon the incident first warned the assailant striking the trooper then walked to his car, grabbed his gun and shot the man, who later died at the scene.
The trooper, who was a 27-year old veteran, was shot in the shoulder and chest. He is in serious but stable condition.
