The theatre department performed Into the Woods for this year’s musical. Students participating in crew and cast have been rehearsing during class and on Sundays since the start of the school year.
“I think they did really good. I wish I could have watched it, but it sounded great,” tech crew member Reese Davis said. “I know that the cast worked very hard to be able to perform the musical. ”
The story of Into the Woods is that a baker and his wife are childless and want to have children but they are cursed by the witch next door; they overcome many challenges to break the curse.
“I absolutely loved the story. It had so many different parts and characters; the story was always rolling,” cast member Dylan Cornish said. “It is a very interesting story. I’m glad so many people showed up to watch it.”
As always, the auditorium was full for both performances of the musical.
“It is a little nerve-wracking in front of the crowd, but I think I can speak for everyone in the show that the feeling of being on stage is the best,” Cornish said. “All I can say is that it is a fun experience.”
