Junior Sonia Dominguez may seem shy at first, however, she is a very outgoing person. . Band performances, school and her friends are ways Dominguez shows this characteristic.

“Sonia is a really great friend,” junior Lilah Molina said.” She is always there when you need her.

Dominguez’s favorite part about school is being able to be a part of the band.

“Band has always been a part of my life since junior high,” Dominguez said. “ I have been playing the trumpet for four years now.”

Dominguez went to compete at band competition earlier this fall.

“I believe we did a great job”, Dominguez said. “Every year we get better and better, this year we received a three which is really good.”

Besides being in band Dominguez has advanced classes on her list. She is one of the five students taking AP Chemistry this year.

“I was really excited when I heard she was going to be in AP chemistry,last year she wasn’t in any of the prep classes,” Molina said.” I have a great time engaging into conversations with her because it shows she knows what  she is talking about.”

Although Dominguez wishes she could play the trumpet forever she knows she will have to let it go in one year.

“I am really sad to leave band behind,” Dominguez said.” But I am happy I made memories that will last a lifetime.”
