Senior Cole Cleveland signs to commit to playing football for A&M Commerce next season.

Last week, Senior Cole Cleveland signed to A&M Commerce on a football scholarship. Family, friends and coaches gathered in the library to watch as he signed the contract for Commerce.

“I was so excited about the whole thing,” senior Cole Cleveland said. “My hands were shaking and I could barely write my name to sign the paper.”

The coaches he’s played for this year say that Cole is a hardworking individual and deserves to go play college football. They said that he is unique and is always pushing himself.

“He is a unique, hardworking individual who will stop at nothing to be the best,” coach Gary Grubbs said. “It’s not everyday that you get a player like him.”

Cole’s family is very proud of him. Mother, Trena Bing, says that she has been waiting for this day for a long time. Also, siblings, Tana Cleveland and Cade Cleveland, are very proud of him.

“I’m very proud of Cole,” sister Tana Cleveland said. “I can’t wait for him to move out so I can get his room.”

While at Commerce, Cole plans to live on campus. He wants to get his associate’s degree and become a game warden.

“I still have a lot to learn,” Cleveland said. “However, it’s still so crazy how everything has fallen into place.”
