HOSA students wrapped up their semester with a visit to the nursing home in Centerville, passing out Christmas cards and gifts, singing carols, and visiting with residents. The members were excited to spend time with the residents and make sure that they all felt some of the warmth of the season.
“It was really nice to see the residents’ faces light up when we sang Christmas carols,” senior Guadalupe Gonzalez said. “It was such a memorable visit. I would do it again in a heartbeat.”
Adviser Stacy Cornett was happy to see the smiles and laughter the students were able to share with the residents.
“It feels good to see them smile,” she said. “It fills my heart to know that they are feeling joy from things we put together.”
