FCCLA students traveled to Huntsville to take part in the fall leadership workshop. State officer Madison Gilliam and regional officer Yurit Espino joined other officers to present while other members attended breakout sessions and helped present.
“We had so much fun learning about what FCCLA was,” freshman Yana Bharat said. “Plus we got to leave school. It was a fun day.”
The FCCLA leaders taught sessions on the importance of helping out local communities as well as how to become an officer and different competitions that are available.
“It was a great experience to get to learn more about FCCLA,” freshman Ella Ortiz said. “I’m glad we got to go.”
“It was an amazing bonding moment,” freshman Aileen Escobar said. “It was so fun and I love FCCLA so much more now.”
