The senior class of 2025 started off their homecoming activities with the community pep rally and senior walk on Wednesday evening, followed by painting the Bison in the parking lot on Thursday after a rain-out the day before, and then rolled straight into Friday’s pep rally and halftime show and Saturday’s dance.
Painting the Bison was a new activity this year, with students painting stenciled Bison in between grilling fajitas, playing games, and just hanging out.
“Painting the Bison was a really fun experience,” cheerleader Alyia Ingram said. “Bonding with my class and enjoying time outside was definitely the highlight of my year so far.”
On Friday, the seniors showed up in newly-decorated overalls covered with sequins, embroidered stars, and loads of paint to get ready for the Homecoming pep rally. The jingling of bells on mums filled the halls all day, and the seniors had some of the biggest. They also had the most fun at the pep rally.
“I’ve really enjoyed senior year so far,” senior Ethan Roberts said. “All the festivities have been really fun, especially the pep rally.”
The theme for Saturday’s dance was “Vegas Nights,” chosen by teacher Stacy Cornett, complete with tables set up for card games.
“The homecoming dance definitely didn’t disappoint,” senior Ashtyn Barzda said. “Mrs. Cornett did a wonderful job decorating the cafeteria with the Vegas theme.”
