Colleen Hoover is an American author of young adult fiction. Many of her books were self-published before being picked up by a publishing house. As of October 2022, she has sold more than 20 million books. Her latest, It Starts with Us, is the sequel to It Ends With Us, which came out in 2016.

Lilly is a flower shop owner and single mom. She and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil co-parenting even though he can’t grasp the fact that they’ll never be together again, so Lilly just deals with it the same way she deals with the other chaotic things in her life. Then she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas. Lilly is happy that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date

It Starts With Us is a great book. At the end of every chapter, there is a cliffhanger. It makes the reader want to keep reading, and it keeps readers on their toes wondering what will happen next – what if Atlas proposes? What if Ryle finds out and does something to Atlas? What will happen to the kids?

It really is a 10/10 book that teens should read. It’s interesting and so far, many readers are loving it.
