Junior Omar Almeida prepares himself for the first session of the Regional Congressional Debate contest.
“I was a bit nervous for the competition, but in the end I did a great job,” Almeida said. “I ended up placing first in the competition and I couldn’t have been any prouder.”
Due to COVID-19, instead of traveling out, the team stayed here and held their meeting in the school’s library. Everything was done virtually.
“The virus has really changed so many things for me,” Almeida said. “These changes are really different but you just have to get used to it.”
