After the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, the superintendent is requiring students and staff to wear clear backpacks and a school ID the entire time at school. This comes after a few reported incidents following the fatal school shooting. The backpacks will be issued, free of charge, to all students attending the school. Also, eight Florida Highway Patrol men will guard the entrances and exits in order to prevent unwanted visitors. The school is also considering setting up metal detectors around the entrances and many other safety measurements.
