Four people died Friday and others were wounded after French police stormed a supermarket in which a 26-year-old armed man was holding hostages.
French president Emmanuel Macron has since labeled the event as a terrorist attack. Police have taken a woman into custody, as well. “Our country has suffered an Islamist terrorist attack,” President Emmanuel Macron told reporters. “We’ve paid the price of the danger of the terrorist threat in blood for several years. I want to state my absolute determination to the nation to lead this fight.”
