Last week, Houston’s first ever cat cafe, El Gato Coffeehouse, was broken into. The burglar broke into the cafe during the early hours of Wednesday morning, making off with some property as well as all the donations that he emptied from the donation box. However, property and donations are not the only things that the cafe was missing, it was missing its cats.
The thief forgot to shut the door on his way out, which allowed five cats to escape from the cafe. Four of the felines have been recovered by the Friends For Life Animal Rescue and Adoption organization, the organization that the stolen donations were for. However, a shy Ragdoll cat named Wink is still missing.
A group from Friends For Life Animal Rescue, set traps and has staff stationed around the cafe to look for Wink. They also put up flyers around the neighborhood. It is likely that she is under a house, because that is where one of the other cats was found. If you happen to find Wink before they do, you are asked to reach out to them.
El Gato Coffeehouse is located at 508 Pecore, In Houston, Texas. They can be reached at (832)-968-3006.
