Bison hit Minute Maid Park
Take me out to the ball game … take me out to the crowd! While others students were traveling on spring break or just relaxing, the baseball players were practicing and playing a game at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
“I was approached last year at Navasota about doing it, but we couldn’t do it then,” head baseball coach Bryan Pauler said. “Then I bought the program over here, and y’all were very supportive.”
The boys were allowed to practice in the Astros’ batting cages.
“It was so much fun,” senior Bryce Pauler said. “It was cool to practice where the Astros practice.”
This is the first time that Buffalo has done something like this and traveled to a professional playing area.
“It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” senior Logan Freeman said. “I am so glad I was able to be a part of something like that.”
A number of Bison fans drove down to Houston to support and cheer on the boys.
“It means a lot to mean that the community is so supportive,” senior Clay Mcgill said. “It was so energetic.”
