4-H hosts color run
For the second year in a row, the Buffalo 4-H club hosted a Christmas color run to raise money for their organization. About 150 people participated this year.
4-H members helped out by meeting the runners at the end of the line with color to throw. Freshman Makayla Gilliam, who is a 4-H member, placed second in the high school division; senior Miryam Zapata placed third.
“I had a great time running, especially since it benefits our club,” Gilliam said. “I didn’t think it was that long of a run, though.”
Some runners were experienced and hit runs all around the area, while others were trying it for the first time.
“It was a great experience,“ mom Rosy Herrera said. “I especially liked that I got to do this with my family.”
