January is School Board Appreciation month. Last week, the FCCLA worked to serve the school board members and their spouses a steak dinner.

Teachers, FCCLA officers, and even principal, Tracy Gleghorn, cooked and prepared the food for the big night.

“Mrs. Gleghorn made most of the food, Mr. Goff cooked the chicken and steaks, and my students and I prepared and served plates,” FCCLA sponsor Wendy Neyland said. “I’m glad they were so willing to help.”

Everyone seemed to enjoy the dinner, including those who were only serving.

“I had a lot of fun serving,” officer Abby Smith said. “I think everything went nice and smoothly, making the dinner a big success.”

Overall, Neyland said she was very pleased with her students and the turnout of the dinner.

“In my opinion, the board dinner went so well,” Neyland said. “It was a lot of hard work, but we all pitched in and made it happen.”
