Junior Logan Freeman chases a young runner off the road to hit him with color powder during the 4-H Jingle Bell Color Run last weekend.

The Buffalo 4-H club started what they hope will become a tradition last week with their first-ever Jingle Bell 5K Color Run.

“It was as successful as I’d hoped it would be,” Jennifer McGill said. “It went above and beyond expectation.”

Members stationed themselves along the trail to throw powder onto the participants as they ran (or walked) by.

“Being able to help out was really fun,” junior Logan Freeman said. “It was really cool seeing all the people come out to support the community.”

Junior Mason Jonas took second place in his age group.

“It felt really good to win,” junior Mason Jonas said. “I’m really happy about it.”
