FFA students attended a Greenhand Camp at Stephen F Austin earlier ths month. Students went through nine different stations that helped them to learn how to become a better leader and what characterstics they needed to showcase.

“I hope to use the information I learned at camp to better our FFA chapter in the years to come,” freshman Carson Avriett said. “There were a lot of new things to take in.”

According to leader Jaylee Cleveland, this event was a mpoprtant for leadership and team building. It will benefit each of these members in the future. The students knew that what they were learning was important to there future in FFA.

This camp can help me in my future because it taught us about the different CDE and LDE and gave us some leadership qualities,” freshman Augustus Brewer said. “I really enjoyed all of the new skills that I learned and activities that I was a part of.”

The students enjoyed the camp. They said they learned a lot and had a great time participating.

I loved meeting new people and learning how to be a good leader,” sophomore Brylee Ryder said. “I hope to improve our chapter and school.”

I am 17 and this is my first year in journalism. I work at DQ and I like spending time with my family and my boyfriend. I stick to myself but I am a social person when it comes to being in a large group or in class. I am a senior and will be graduating very soon. I am looking forward to all of the fun memories that will be made in this class and I am ready to evolve into a young graduated adult.
