Hurricane strays up for adoption

Hurricane strays up for adoption

After escaping the wrath of Hurricane Florence, over 100 stray dogs in North Carolina are ready to go to their forever homes.

Saving Grace Animal Shelter, located in Wake Forest, North Carolina, took in over 100 dogs from surrounding shelters. The shelters either needed to be evacuated because of the threat of flooding, or to make room for pets that were displaced during the storm. Prior to Hurricane Florence, Saving Grace Animals for Adoption, spent time working with the surrounding shelters on the coast to ensure that stray animals had a safe place to go. A place where they would have an opportunity to be adopted in the future.

Saving Grace Animal Shelter, currently has close to 150 dogs available for adoption with about 100 more in foster care. The shelter has several events coming up to help raise money for shelter. The money raised will help cover the cost of medical attention that for pets.

If your interested in adopting a dog from Saving Grace Animals for Adoption, you must fill out an application. The same goes for those who are interested in fostering pets.
