Track athletes make it to regional meet

The track season wrapped up its season with a second-place district title for the JV girls along with a number of athletes advancing to Area and three making it to regionals.

“This season was great, especially for my first year,” freshman Taylor Adams said. “I am extremely proud of what my team and I have achieved.”

Adams is one of several athletes who advanced to area. She competed in the 100m hurdles.

“We all went and did our best at the meet,” Adams said. “We represented Buffalo pretty well.”

Junior Tyler Sanders made it all the way to Regionals in his event. He also competed in Cross Country earlier in the year.

“Running long distance has always been an enjoyment for me,” Sanders said. “However, I am really nervous for regionals – there are boys who can run it in 10 minutes.”

Senior Stephanie Bradley advanced to area as well, and not for the first time. She will be representing Buffalo once again in the 200m run.

“I am really aiming far this year,” Bradley said. “Last I didn’t advanced as far as I wanted; however, I know I have a chance to make it to state this year.”

Sanders, Bradley, and sophomore Kaylee Morgan will compete this Friday and Saturday at the University of Baylor for regionals.
