Carrie Marie Underwood is an American country singer, songwriter, and actress who was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, in 1983. Underwood began her rise to fame when she won the fourth season of American Idol in 2005. She has gone onto win countless music awards, including seven Grammy Awards, seventeen Billboard Music Awards, eleven Academy of Country Music Awards, and nine American Music Awards. Underwood will probably continue to win a ton more awards.

Carrie Underwood is one of my favorite country artists; I have been listening to country music since I was a little kid, so I have probably been listening to her ever since she became famous. Both my mother and I like Carrie Underwood. My mom’s favorite song by Carrie Underwood is “Two Black Cadillacs”, and mine are “Blown Away”, “Good Girl”, and “Cowboy Casanova”. Don’t get me wrong all of her songs are great, but those three are my favorites.

Carrie Underwood released her first debut album, Some Hearts, in 2005. In 2007, Carrie released her second album Carnival Ride, which includes the songs “Last Name”, and “All American Girl”. In 2009, Carrie Underwood released her third album Play On, which includes one of my favorite songs “Cowboy Casanova”. In 2012, Underwood released her fourth album Blown Away, which includes both my mother and I’s favorite songs “Blown Away”, Two Black Cadillacs”, and “Good Girl”. In 2014, Carrie released her first compilation album Greatest Hits: Decade #1, which included past songs some that were released and some that were not, and two new songs “Little Toy Guns”, and “Something in the Water”. Out of these albums I would have to say that Underwood’s fourth album Blown Away, is my favorite album.

“Shatter every window ‘til it’s all blown away. Every brick, every board, every slamming door blown away. ‘Til there’s nothing left of yesterday, every tear-soaked whiskey memory blown away, Blown away!”~ Blown Away

Carrie released her sixth/newest album Storyteller during the month of October in 2015. Personally I think that like the rest of her albums, this is a pretty good album. I have never ever hated any of Carrie’s songs, and that definitely won’t begin now. My favorite songs from this album are “Smoke Break”, and “Renegade Runaway”.

“She said, I don’t smoke but sometimes I need a long drag, yeah I know it might sound bad, but sometimes I need a smoke break.”~Smoke Break
