The Lady Bison started their season off with a win

Junior Allison Grissett not only pitched a complete game Friday but also hit for the cycle as she led the Lady Bison to a 24-9 win over Hearne as Buffalo opened its 2015 softball season.

Grissett reached base in all six of her plate appearances. She had an in-the-park home run, a triple, a double, a single, drew a walk and was hit by a pitch. She scored four runs and drove in three more.

Kynlee Driskill and Hannah Eakin were both three for four at the plate. Driskill scored twice and drove in four runs, while Eakin doubled and tripled with two runs scored and a pair of RBIs.

Ima Champion was two for two, scoring four runs and driving in one. She also had two stolen bases. Taylor Lack was two for four with a double. She scored four runs, drove in two and stole a bag.

Kysa Taylor tripled, scored two runs, drove in another and had a stolen base. Shalyn Cotton singled, scored two runs and stole a base. Madison Simpson singled, crossed home plate three times and drove in a run. Samantha Rios also scored a run for the Lady Bison.

Buffalo hosts Centerville in its home opener on Tuesday and the Lady Bison will compete in the Trinity tournament next weekend.
