Last weekend the theater group had their first lock-in of the year for their fall play the group worked till about midnight with multiple run-throughs. The group arrived at the theater at about noon and was there till about 7:00 the next morning.

“I like lock-ins because they’re fun,” sophomore” Ashtyn Barzda said. “They are a lot of work, though, and I never get much sleep.”

The whole group, including the new freshmen, worked for a solid 13 hours with only a couple of breaks, but pushed through and had a lot of fun doing it.

“I liked the lock-in even though I got no sleep and we worked a lot,” freshman Brock Corbitt said. “It was a fun experience and I can’t wait to do it again for OAP season next semester.”

Besides rehearsing, the group did two complete run-throughs and tech finished installing the walls and artwork for the set.

“Sometimes it got boring running through the same thing over and over,” Senior Lindsey Hardin said, “but I knew that in the long run the hard work would pay off and it would all be worth it.”
