During a news conference Thursday at the state Capitol, Abbott announced an executive order that limits social gatherings to 10 people, prohibits dining in at restaurants and bars while still allowing takeout, closes gyms, bans visitors to nursing homes except for critical care and closes all schools through April 3. The executive order goes into affect at midnight Friday and will last through midnight April 3, according to Abbott.
