Junior and one of the top students in her class, Nicole Rice is working hard to make everyone around her proud. From her family at home to teachers and staff at school, Rice is showing that she wants to show the world who’s boss.
Rice has participated in Bison Belles for three years and plans on trying out to be an officer for her senior year.
“My favorite part of being a Bison Belle would have to be how much fun it is and how much confidence I’ve gotten in the past three years,” Rice said. “We’re more than just a team, we’re honestly like a family.”
Rice is also competing this year in FCCLA with Mollie Doss and Ivelissa Gonzalez on the topic of domestic violence in the county. She will travel to Galveston with the group in February to compete.
“For my senior year I’m hoping to continue to compete in FCCLA, be a Belle officer, join theatre and join Color guard,” Rice said. “I also plan to go to Sam Houston after high school in hopes to earn two degrees, one in teaching for younger grades and one either in Forensic Science or Architecture.”
