Band! Ten hut!

Freshman Wade Taylor waits for the command to start his part in the halftime show. Taylor plays the trumpet in the Bison Brigade.

Taylor spends most of his time at band and practicing to get better at playing the trumpet. Taylor likes band because of the safe environment and said he can just be himself. Wade has been in band for three years.

“He has come a long way since he has started band,” freshman Alex Grizzle said. “His sense of humor really helps when we are learning drills in band.”

Taylor is known to be an outgoing, funny, and awkward in a good kind of way. He might act like a fool but yet still he has a sensitive side. He’s just himself around people and some people look up to him because of that. Taylor being a freshman doesn’t change the fact that he’s still going to make people laugh.

“People underestimate him,” freshman Iris Guerrero said. “He’s actually pretty smart and a really good guy.”

Besides being in band, Wade likes hanging out with his friends while fishing. Fishing helps Wade relax and take some of the pressure off of everything.

“I like to go fishing because it’s relaxing,” said Taylor. “It takes some of the pressure off of everything.”
