Hurricane Jose may be the third hurricane to hit United States mainland. Jose was predicted to hit the Leeward Islands last weekend but it missed, although the National Hurricane Center believes that it may loop back around. In 2004, Hurricane Jeanne looped back around and hit Florida; the National Hurricane Center expects that Jose may do the same thing.

Jose is a category 3 hurricane with winds reaching up to 120 miles per hour. Jose is moving northwest expecting and away from land at 16 miles per hour. Hurricane Jose is predicted to keep moving in that general direction and keep the same speed for at least 24 hours.
