As the regular season came to a close, the Lady Bison hit the playoffs, and currently are getting ready for their regional quarter-final game against Little River Academy on Tuesday night.

“Playoffs is always fun, especially with this team,” sophomore Kayleigh Rhodes said. “I am so happy that we have made it there again this year.”

The team was confident all season that they would be advancing to playoffs.

“I knew that we had a huge chance to go to playoffs,” senior Jordan Jenkins said. “We have a good chance of going back to regionals.”

Senior Lauren Pate is aiming higher – she is confident in the team’s capability of making it to state.

“Basketball is a huge part of my life, so obviously I want to be as successful as possible since it’s my senior year,” Pate said. “I feel like this year is our year; we just have to stay focused on the game plan, which is state.”

Freshman Mollie Dittmar, who scored 38 of the team’s 68 points in the area game last night, is happy about being in playoffs for the first time.

“I love the excitement that comes with all this and just how pumped we are at every game,” Dittmar said. “In playoffs there is so much at stake, so you leave it all on the court every single game.”

Sophomore Melanie McGill is proud of the team for all the hard work everyone has put in.

“Being in playoffs is an honor and everyone is excited, but don’t let that fool you, Coach Jenkins be tripping more than ever around this time,” McGill said. “It’s all worth it though, because when you put in hard work good results come.”
