Volleyball player Allison Grissett catches some air as she sends the ball back over the net during the game against Westwood Tuesday night. After both a win and a loss in the past week, the girls hope to beat Crockett Friday night.

After a rough start to the district season, the volleyball team seemed to regain focus as they faced ONalaska last Friday. The Lady Bison beat them in 4 games with scores of 25-27, 25-18, 25-21, 29-27.

“We’ve lost a couple of games, however we didn’t let that discourage us,” senior Karina Sotelo said. “Instead, we took the loss as an eye-opener, which made us start to work even harder in practice.”

A loss to Westwood at home Tuesday put the the girls in gear to come out on top again Friday against Crockett.

“I think we’ll do fine,” Senior Marissa Jones said. “All we have to do is go into the game with the mindset that we had last Friday, and we’ll be okay.”
