Argentinian soccer player Emiliano Sala was on a plane that went missing over the English Channel. Sala signed for Cardiff City for a total earning of  $15 million from Nantes, a French club. Sala was flying to his new club after saying goodbye to his old French teammates. The plane was flying from Nantes to Cardiff when it went missing.

Police officials say they aren’t sure of the whereabouts of the plane are or why it is missing. The investigation is ongoing. No distress call or sirens went out before the plane was lost from radar and communication. Officials say that the plane is most likely in the sea, but there is small hope of it being found on land. If the passengers are at sea, their chance of survival is slim because of the cold temperatures. Many people still have hope that Sala and the rest of the passengers are simply lost,  but officials are saying they do not expect to find anyone alive.
