“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God,” – 1 Corinthians 10:31

This is junior Mollie Dittmar’s favorite Bible verse, one she tries to remember in everything she does. Dittmar is a hard-working student-athlete who is very involved in her church; she says she has put her life in God’s hands.

“I would not be who I am today without the love of Jesus in my heart and the constant influence of the church,” Dittmar said.  “I love serving others and having fun doing all sorts of different things at the church.”

Dittmar focuses on a number of sports, including basketball, volleyball and track, and she also participates in student council, NHS, GEMS, speech and debate and UIL academics.

“No matter how busy she is, she always makes time for her friends,” junior Jordan Early said. “I’ve known her since preschool, and I know I can always rely on her.”

Despite being so busy, Dittmar has mapped out her future. She hopes to go to college and play collegiate basketball to make her education affordable, as well as enjoy new  friends, teammates and the overall experience.

“I’m not sure if that’s God’s plan for my life, but I’m just hoping and trusting that that’s what he wants for me,” Dittmar said. “I’m not good enough right now, but I just try to keep getting better every day.”

However, for the next two years, Dittmar says she will continue to live her life in the fast lane and enjoy her freetime. When she isn’t busy, Dittmar loves to read, watch Hallmark movies, practice sports and help out at the First Baptist Church.

“I love the feeling of being transported into another person’s world when I read, watching someone else’s life play out with a happy ending in Hallmark movies, and the adrenaline, sweat, and laughter of sports,” Dittmar said. “I run recreation on Wednesday nights at the church because I enjoy spending time with these little kids and getting to see Jesus work in them.”

Dittmar describes herself as a hard-worker who strives for perfection, and some of her closest friends agree.

“Mollie pushes herself to be the best, and the results she gets are far beyond my expectations,” junior Andrea Daniel said. “She is such a kind-hearted person, and I’m amazed at how she tries to see the best in people.”
